DOCTORS GROW ORGAN IN LAB:
A 36-year-old cancer patient with a major tumor on his trachea was given less than a month to live. Since waiting for cadaver wasn’t an option, doctors made him a trachea out of plastic, coated it with his stem cells and grew it in a lab. And? Success!
His body accepted it and his vessels grew into it. Of course, he will be monitored by the doctors but has been released from the hospital and is doing well.
This medical breakthrough may be the first step toward saving and changing more lives.
